Are we safe?

Are we really safe?

This is one of the biggest questions that we are facing today. And because of this news of the gang rape that happened a few days ago in Delhi itself, this questions gets more profound. But do we really have an answer to this question. No. The question still remains there and so do we.

One incident and we are all in a state of shock. Rape is such a heinous crime that is graver than murder. And the punishment for such a heinous crime in our country is just 7 years of imprisonment. Not much of a punishment for the mental and emotional trauma that the accused have given her! Huh? All we can do is to give suggestions about the various kind of punishment we can give to such accused.

But is it enough? What I think is that the problem is in the whole society. We, as a society, have not been able to come up as a healthy one. And that's the fault that we need to bear. The thing is not that the people who did this were lusty. They have got the various options to take out that lust. It's the sickness that gets hold of them. And this sickness is the result of the society that taught them that it's ok to dominate women and do the violence to ease their frustration.

What is surely needed to be done is to instill good morals in your kids, a respect towards womanhood and a sense of equality. This can to some extent help in eradicating such crimes.

Vampire vs. Vampire

Well, I'm talking about Twilight series here. I watched its last sequel Breaking Dawn 2 the other day and was really impressed. Yes! I didn't really think that I would be happy with the movie as I had already seen its first part and I tell you that was oh-so-not impressive except for the humorous lines here and there. But this one, oh man! I'm really impressed.

The whole plot revolves around saving Renesmee, Bella's daughter (You already know who Bella is). And in order to save her, what happens is a big fight between Vampire Cullens and other Vampires. And I tell you this is the one time that I really enjoyed a fight. Oh yes! The way they chop each others' head off and then burn the body, it leaves me wondered if I could go and do some action. But what comes as a surprise is when I get to know that the whole fight is a lie. Yes, it all happens when Alice showed the other leader Vampire what their future is. A little silly, right? No! Infact, that is the most interesting where your heart nearly skips a beat. So, if you ask me about the movie, I'll call that the best part. Other than that, it's interesting how Bella appears so much confident in this movie unlike its prequels.
I think it's really worth a watch. :)

Day that starts with a bowl of corn flakes and a little comprehension…

Well, the title itself has said a lot, I guess. So, this is my regular routine these days. Struggling with the comprehension over a bowl of corn flakes! Yes, it’s pretty much of struggling only.

But this piece is not really about how I spend my day and all. This is rather for the disappointment I get every morning while trying to solve those English passages. (Little dramatic!) You know how it feels when you fare bad on the subject which you consider your forte. Well, the same I feel these days. But as they say practice leads to success. Keeping the idea firm, I’m doing my bit hoping for the best.

I know it had been a little vague but it did serve my purpose. Hope you hear good from me anytime soon!

Until later,
G
